It has been awhile! Nothing super fancy but have updated website (and domain), in preparation for new game announcement (more on that later). Originally I was going to wipe the entire website and start fresh, but I decided to keep my old posts as a testament for myself to the progress I made over the years and where I am now.

You might be wondering what happened to Zombie Jack? The short answer is I cancelled the project due to changes in the industry. I'm currently working on something new that I am very excited to announce but just need a little more time.

What did I learnt from working on Zombie Jack? ZJ went through a number of iterations. During development I kept telling myself not to quit, not to give up, just keep going. And what I learnt from the experience was that sometimes it's actually better to give-up. If something isn't working, you might be better off moving on to something else.

I have Unity to thank for this. Their change in pricing and runtime fees pressured me into giving up on a project that I suddenly realised - I did not own - and move on. And I'm so glad I did! I gained so much experience and skills working on ZJ and those skills and now being put to better use. Now I'm working on the Godot engine and I've never been happier. So thank you Godot Team. You guys rock.

What am I working on now? I'm not quite ready to say, but its a smaller, more personal project. Its an RPG idler but not a clicker. In-fact, I like to call it a peripheral game. I'm very excited to play this one myself. It's super refreshing and 'feels right'. So sit tight. Good things are coming.
