That was awesome. I'm not sure how else to describe it. Level Up Tasmania 2026 will be ingrained in my memory forever as a wonderful memory filled with wonderful people. It felt so nice to be a part of something greater. People came in droves to come and play all kinds of Tasmanian-made games and the response was lovely.

I wish I had more time to play other developer's games, but I felt like I couldn't really leave my booth. I regret not making more of an effort. But some of the games I did try were pretty awesome. My personal favourite was "Feed me Sardines", a game where you are a cat that must communicate and solve dialogue puzzles by pressing word-buttons. Funny and clever.

The feedback I received for Bookmark Hero was like verbal-gold. There were many play testers, and many of those players loved the game but also had a lot of the same feedback about things that either confused them or ways in which they believed the game could be streamlined and improved. I made many notes.

During the event, many people asked when the game would be ready and I made the bold statement that I would have a more polished demo by June and a final game aiming to be completed by the end of the year. I really hope I can live up to that expectation. There is a lot of feedback to process and still much work to be done.

Below are some of my favourite photos from the event.
